Locust Town Center Announces Inaugural Single-Family Neighborhood, Showcasing New Sales Model, Three Model Homes by True Homes, Tribute Homes

Locust Town Center - True HomesLOCUST, NC (Stanly County) – In the City of Locust/Stanly County, Main Street Property LLC, owned by developer partners Bob Barbee, Andreas Bechtler and Terry Whitley, today welcomes the grand opening of Locust Town Center’s inaugural single-family home neighborhood, featuring the first of 200 planned new homes being built by True Homes and Tribute Homes.

On tour today for a special VIP and Realtor preview is the new fully furnished Blake II sales model/center by Tribute Homes and three showcase model homes, offering both ranch and two-story floorplans, from the True Homes Elements Collection. Homes planned for Locust Town Center will range from 1600 to 3000 square feet, and will be priced initially from the $170s to the mid $220s.

True Homes, headquartered in Monroe, has three divisions – True Homes, Tribute Homes and True Custom, and offers five new home design collections, ranging from $80s to the $800s. True Homes is currently building homes within approximately 86 new home communities throughout the Charlotte and surrounding county areas. True Homes Managing Director is Mark Boyce.

As Locust Town Center Developer Bob Barbee proudly stated, “The timing is ideal for Locust Town Center to offer single-family homes in addition to the new townhomes by Whitley Builders and new senior apartment homes by Wynnefield Properties. We are especially pleased that True Homes appreciates the same values and traditions that we at Locust Town Center consider important to the continued success of small towns in America like the City of Locust. The opening of our new single-family neighborhood and eventual plans for 200 new homes clearly demonstrate the confidence our builders, investors and town officials have in the desirability of Locust Town Center for generations to come.”

As Bob further emphasized, the vision all along for Locust Town Center was to create distinctive traditional architecture that would proudly represent the people living here for the next 100 years of the City and County’s heritage. There would be a variety of residential choices for people of all generations, all in close proximity to the essential businesses and services they needed daily. Already, Locust Town Center has hometown banks, restaurants, municipal services, including City Hall, police, library and community center, doctor and dentist offices, drug and hardware stores, a barbershop, animal clinic, bakery, gift shop and many others, all within a short walk or golf cart ride away.

“Unlike most master-planned developments during the past 10 years, Locust Town Center invested in rebuilding the City and expanding the commercial component first, creating a thriving business and merchant nucleus for the residents and as a destination. Then as the economy permitted, we have successfully adding the residential components to appeal to multi-generations of people -- the market-rate apartments, townhomes, the single-family home community and soon the new senior apartments,” he added.

According to Mark Boyce, Managing Director of True Homes, “We believe our homes are the perfect complement to the vision, deep-rooted traditions and rich fabric that is the City of Locust and the master plan for the Town Center. We want our homes to have traditional architectural elements but with all the great modern interiors and conveniences that homeowners want. Our homes should honor the people who own them and resonate the vitality and unique opportunities only a small town can bring.”

Today, True Homes and Tribute Homes showcases four new model homes:

Homesite 23. Blake II Sales Model w/Guest Suite from Elements Collection.
Homesite 24. Jasper II Model from Elements Collection.
Homesite 25. Blake II Model by Tribute Homes Collection.
Homesite 26. Coronado II Model from Elements Collection.
