Locust NC is located in Western Stanly County on NC 24/27, 25 miles east of uptown Charlotte and only 11 miles from the 1-485 beltway (exit 41). Locust is near many other regional attractions including Reed Gold Mine (the site of the first discovery of gold in the U.S.), Lowe's Motor Speedway, historic Albemarle, Morrow Mountain State Park, the Uharrie National Forest, and Paramount's Carowinds, to name but a few.
